The "Figures on a black background" works were created during the lockdown period due to the Covid -19 pandemic. They want to represent the recognition of the opportunities that man can seize from the difficult and dark moments that everyone can experience in times and places different from their own life. From the darkness white and colored figures can emerge that with their elegance and fluidity remind us that time does not stop and that, sooner or later, the difficulties will pass.
"Black and white"! The contrast between a black sign on a white background or vice versa represents the synthesis of a strong bond between two opposites. One cannot do without the other. In this contrast we are not talking about negative contrasts: quite something else. Art has always been constructive even with opposites. Black and white “together” create and not destroy; they create exactly through the convergence of opposites
